Job Description Summary

You will be in charge of designing and implementing and maintaining a medical coding computer assisted coding web application, its stability, consistency, effectiveness as well as maintainability, security and privacy. You will work closely with product management, engineering, applied scientists and domain experts and delight your users. You will lead a team of developers: front end engineers and backend engineers as well as do your own hands-on contribution. Ideal candidate will have strong backend experience and proficiency (Golang + Node.js) with experience in frontend development. Expected hands-on contribution to backend development and conducting code reviews to front end development + managing the team.

Responsibilities

Establish, build and lead a new group of technical software engineers who will build an environment for a pioneering solution in the medical coding field. Design, develop, test, implement, and support Maverick’s components and applications. Serve as the Company’s

expert on technical subject matter. Develop and maintain the back-end (main focus) and the front-end (mostly review design and work of frontend developers) of the core applications of the company. Drive quality by automated testing pre-deployment and post deployment. Proactively ensure a high standard of engineering by developing and maintaining team standards, documentation, tools, and best practices. Work closely with other participants in the team: product manager, developers (internals and externals), testers, designers, data scientists, etc. Bottom line, your goal is to execute product managements’ requirements in collaboration with all stakeholders.

Qualifications and requirements

We are looking for an experienced leader with hands-on proficiency with a get-things done mindset, innovative thinking and the ability to ramp up on new technologies, patterns, and frameworks while also retaining focus on long-term objectives. An ideal candidate would have a background in technology in healthcare as well as building and maintaining text annotation/labeling applications.

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven ability of leading an application team
  • Hands on proficiency both backend and frontend
  • Proven ability to architect, design and implement stable and well tested infrastructuralsolutions as well as customer facing features in production environments.
  • High proficiency in software development in multiple languages and paradigms.
  • Comfortable with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Comfortable with distributed data platforms and hands-on experience and parallel anddistributed systems
  • Hands on experience in integration of REST Services and 3rd party APIs as well asdesigning, implementing, maintaining and exposing stable and effective services.
  • Experience with multiple types of different (Rational, Document, Key Value, etc.) datastores and how to use them properly and effectively.
  • Experience working on a cloud setup developing SaaS, ideally over AWS.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in engineering in production environments: doing bothfrontend and backend building and maintaining web user interfaces and applications.
  • 2+ years of experience as a team lead
  • Hands on experience developing on Linux environments/
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience in Networking and Security is a plus.

Maverick is looking for an entrepreneurial Vice President of Growth to drive the growth of its autonomous medical coding platform. We are looking for a senior sales executive with proven experience with healthcare revenue cycle management who is excited about a greenfield opportunity selling mCoder™ into physician groups, health systems, billing companies, and coding companies.

Responsibilities

  •  Own the entire sales cycle for new business, including prospecting, qualification, opportunity creation, quote creation, pipeline management, and order fulfillment
  • Generate net new sales opportunities and drive sales process to successful closure
  • Conduct high-level demos to clinical and technical buyers
  • Track & manage prospecting, qualification, and nurture activities in the company’s CRM (Salesforce) to support marketing and forecasting activities
  • Deeply understand customer needs, translating opportunities into sales
  • Sharing learnings from the field to continuously enhance the sales process and improve the win rate
  • Work collaboratively with Product Management and R&D, representing the voice of the customer
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced startup environment

Key Attributes

  •  5 – 10 years of prospecting/closing experience, working with the director through C-level clients to personally sell and close $500K+ accounts
  • Polished and persuasive written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated success by meeting or exceeding quotas consistently
  • Deep and relevant healthcare sales expertise in selling RCM services to large providers and selling to providers from within a startup environment
  • An understanding of the challenges healthcare organizations face and able to work multiple levels of the organization to see a sale through from pilot to implementation
  • Worked with revenue cycle organizations before and can speak their language
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment by leveraging creativity and perseverance to create and capture opportunities
  • Experience building sales processes and selling in a Series A or B startup company
  • Willing to do whatever it takes — prospecting, cold calls, conferences, travel to understand the customer and their pain points, build strong relationships, and close deals
